“The Philippine Book Festival is our love letter to the Philippine book industry — its writers, illustrators, publishers, and booksellers” -National Book Development Board executive director Charisse Aquino-Tugade.
The Philippine Book Festival 2025 will run 13-15 March this year, at the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
The venue was changed to reach a wider audience due to the mall’s accessibility.
“The PBF is our love letter to the Philippine book industry — its writers, illustrators, publishers, and booksellers,” said National Book Development Board executive director Charisse Aquino-Tugade. “It will be more than a marketplace. It is a necessary intervention in the national conversation on readership.”

Festival Realms
The Philippine Book Festival will feature four distinct realms, each inspired by popular Philippine festivals:
Kid Lit: Inspired by the Dinagyang Festival, this realm is designed to immerse young readers in the magic of children’s literature.
Komiks: Celebrating the rich tradition and evolution of Philippine graphic storytelling, this realm is inspired by the Tuna Festival.
Booktopia: Offering a diverse collection of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and more, this realm is inspired by the Panagbenga Festival.
Aral Aklat: Focused on educational materials, this realm is inspired by the Pahiyas Festival and underscores the Philippine Book Festival’s commitment to supporting learning.
The Philippine Book Festival, in contrast to bigger events such as the Manila International Book Fair, is all about home-grown talent.
