This year at TNPS we’re going to try shed some light on the international rights deals happening where the English-language sun doesn’t shine.
The Helsinki Literary Agency has just announced a Japan and Arab markets deal for “Beasts of the Sun”, the debut title by Iida Turpeinen that won the Helsingin Sanomat literary prize last year.
The Japanese-language rights have been acquired by Kawade Shobo Shinsha, in a deal via Tuttle-Mori Agency.
World Arabic-language rights go to Sherif Bakr‘s Al Arabi publishing house in Egypt.
More information – in English of course. This is Finland, after all – on the Helsinki Literary Agency website.
