As a seasoned observer of these things, I think I’m on safe ground in saying India has more book fairs than any other country.
The 13th edition of the Dibrugarh Book Fair is a case in point – just one among countless book fairs and festivals big enough to make the national headlines while not quite in the mega-league of the million and two million visitor events that happen in this vast country.

No numbers yet for the Dibrugarh fair, but its a 12-day event with over 200 publishing houses participating, thanks to the All Assam Book Publishers and Sellers Association.
