While the USA dominated the rankings, Canada managed second place, and Singapore as ever punched way above its weight
Further to the report earlier this week that OverDrive saw 662 million digital downloads in 2023, we now have the breakdown for the top library systems, with LA leading the way with 12 million downloads, a new record, and up 2 million on 2022.
Per the press release, “In 2023, a record-setting 152 library systems in seven countries surpassed one million digital checkouts. Of those 152 libraries, 23 library systems achieved the million checkout milestone for the very first time.”
While the USA dominated the rankings, Canada managed second place, and Singapore as ever punched way above its weight, with 8 million downloads – and this in a country of 6 million people.
New Zealand, Australia, Germany and the UK all contributed to the total.
