Greece / Qatar

Greece will participate in the Doha International Book Fair in January 2022. In return, Qatar will attend the 2022 Thessaloniki International Book Fair.

Argentina

The second edition of the Buenos Aires Publishing and Bookstore Fair (Felba) has not long finished.

This year 100 stands in the Parque de la Estación, near Estacion Once, attracted more than 8,000 visitors.

Sri Lanka

Big Bad Wolf will be in Sri Lanka for its fifth year in May, but for the second year running it will be an online-only event.

The Big Bad Wolf online sale will run May 5-12.

Israel

Israel’s Jerusalem International Book Forum will be online this year, and in addition to the main event on 3-4 May there will be two further “Friday Forums” on 14 and 21 May.

The UK’s The Bookseller, in an “advertorial” for the event, writes:

Two years after being reconceptualised and renamed as the Jerusalem International Book Forum the event now offers digital programming for 2021 (3rd–4th, 14th and 21st May). We spoke with Yoel Makov, director of the JIBF to learn more about the challenges and considerations underlying this adaptation for an event which has been taking place biennially since 1963.
